Today is Sunday and I woke early but not 5:30am today as I set no alarm. Naturally around 7pm , everyone else in the house still asleep. So I got up and did my SAVERS routine before they all woke up. Sundays are generally family days and today we are spending the day at home catching up and enjoying each other's company.
I get a little extra time this morning to finish a book called The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. ByMarie Kondo.
I highly recommend this book. I originally read it last Summer and embarked on 2 week stint of following its principles of only keeping things that spark joy or have a specific use. Letting yourself feel through heart not head on what you need to have around you.
The book guides you through in detail the how and why this process works.
So why do I feel so inspired to read it again? Well I believe all good books should be read more than once . But since starting the Miracle Morning I have a new found faith and confidence in my ability to keep my new habits. This book made a profound effect on my life and do I thought it worth revisiting to make sure I'm still following its principles. I also thought this blog is a great way of recording and hopefully inspiring others.
So click the link below or visit the bookshelf to find it again.
What effect has it had for me since originally reading it 6 months ago?
Now with my new Morning routine the day is set up for the house hold chores to be done, there's time for bigger tasks and improvements ( I love diy) and there's no guilt for down time as my physical environment supports my goals.
