Miracle Morning here I come ! Jumping out of bed with excitement for the day today at 5:30am here. Having the mindset of doing this no matter what allows the feeling of being excited for the day to have lots of room to manifest. I'm starting to not be able to imagine the start of the day any other way. Every day can feel like something amazing is going to happen, that there's something to celebrate. Some liken this to having every day feel like it's Christmas morning. I personally not sure if it's the same as Christmas morning ,but I can relate to the feeling of being excited and happy for the day is ahead and I really enjoy doing the SAVERS routine at the start of my day as this seems to then replicate itself. A lesson I have learnt from doing this and therefore want to share with you all is one of Persistence. When I take the time to feel and label a word in my life I like to look up the dictionary definition. "Persistence- the fact of continuing in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition." Is this a strange message to share after talking about such enjoyment of the process? It is actually my own experience that brings me to sharing. I recognise that on days it's not been easy and you may find the same but by following it , I have been given such gifts. (Hence the comparison to Christmas morning) Gifts such as personal growth, better health, experiences , gratitude, confidence, success in business and personal goals and growth. By being persistent you are CHOOSING not to give up on your goals, you will not lose sight of what you would like to achieve, you are not so rigid you cannot adapt to change , you do not lose your positive outlook on life. I know now why I choose to be persistent. It allows me to learn and overcome from failure and ultimately succeed. Why do you choose to be persistent?

As the days are passing I'm being reminded by my blog host how many times people are engaging and it's a total honour to find out that there now over 500 visits happening each day. You guys out there are reading and sharing in my experiences keeping me accountable and hopefully finding something enjoyable , useful or inspiring for yourselves. The nerves do set in when I think of you all reading my morning ramblings. So much so, that this morning I felt I needed to 'do something different or special'. I got up at 5:30am without any difficulties and decided I needed to 'make this more exciting!' I soon realised or remembered this whole procees has been exciting and this blog is a real opportunity for me to both record and share this, although it is interesting to me to consider why then I feel this way. Sticking my plan and the reason I started the blog (to share to be accountable for change.) I soon talked myself out of 'making it more exciting!' And more about 'keeping it real'. Focusing today on the video (below) and the words I am deserving, I am worthy and I am valuable. In honour of how I was feeling and to remind me of how far things have come already. So as promised I said I would share some the tools I use and affirmations I say. I used this video not only to listen to but to recite the words aloud so I could feel them within me and squash any negative dialogue going on in my head when first saying these words for myself. I then followed my morning routine of a further 20 minutes cycling on exercises bike , a little reading and then some journaling.
I hope you enjoy these, please share how and where you use and store your own list of affirmations.
Day 141 - Today I was up at 5:30 am. Very excited about the day ahead as I had booked on a rest and relaxation retreat day at Polinsa House in Cornwall. Up this early and on the first official day of spring the mornings have already got lighter with more sunlight.
I completed my miracle morning routine of silence sit spot, affirmations, visualisation, exercise (today was yoga) and reading and writing in my journal. Even though I knew I would be doing a lot of this durning the day. I still like to start my day this way. Having time out to recharge amongst like minded people is so important when life is busy. I schedule different times through the year when I can do this. (Scheduling is to ensure they happen!) Those around me respect and understand that this is an important part of my self care, self love and personal development, so I can come back and still be there for them. Finding time out to and reconnect to our own inner stillness can bring such harmony and balance to our life. Allowing the opportunity for clarity, focus , dream state and goal setting to thrive. I find in sometimes getting away from the interference of normal life , responsibilitys, technology, the general demands of time and daily distractions can allow ourselves the opportunity to become at one, allow us to respond with grace and fluidity for our future path and any challenges we may have. So the day day consisted of sound therapy with tuning forks, sound bath and drumming. Journal time and card reading. Meditation, visualisation and communication, through sharing of experiences and being out in nature. Debbi Walker our host took great care to facilitate this space and time for us and shared the poem and music you see below with us. A special day and one I would recommend to anyone wanting to experience similar. I am in gratitude for opportunity to do this. If you are going to lead a happy, healthy and fulfilled life you too should consider how you manage your self care and stillness. Dare To Dream! Julie Anne Ford Let nothing hold you back from exploring your wildest fantasies, wishes, and aspirations. Don’t be afraid to dream big and to follow your dreams wherever they may lead you. Open your eyes to their beauty; Open your mind to their magic; open your heart to their possibilities. Dare to dream. Whether they are in color or in black and white, Whether they are big or small, easily attainable or almost impossible, look to your dreams, and make them become reality. Wishes and hopes are nothing until you take the first step towards making them something! Dare to dream, because only by dreaming will you ever discover who you are, what you want, and what you can do. Don’t be afraid to take risks, to become involved, to make a commitment. Do whatever it takes to make your dreams come true. Always believe in miracles, and always believe in you ! My Miracle Morning starts today at 5:30 am. I do my SAVERS routine which takes about an hour. Nothing outside today as much I can embrace the elements sometimes I just not feeling the love for the cold and especially the rain add in some wind and I'm inside for meditation, affirmations, visualisation , exercise , reading and journaling. Today I listened to an audio book whilst I used my excercise bike. I really like doing this , it not only feels a great use of time it's like having a mentor or real person around and sometimes early in the morning this is a great way to work out the brain and body! The book got got me thinking about mentors , trainers and teachers and the ones that I have now and have had to date in my life. It took me s a while to appreciate why having a mentor really helped. So I journalled a list to remind me how or why I have and should continue to do this.
I think as well as having a mentor it's just as important to be one too! So just as the quote suggests we can support each other. I am very grateful for all the mentors and support I have around me. For example The facebook Miracle Morning community are all great mentors , my accountability partner is amazing at keeping in touch and sharing ideas (I know she reads my blog! 👋🏻*waving* hello ) I belong to networking groups and soul sister groups of women who meet regularly in the year. To name just a few.
I really love to mentor others and hope some of this blog whilst sharing my own journey and personal insights will maybe offer a few of the things above for those finding it. But I also mentor in other ways and today this is what I will be busy with. I will be hosting and supporting a group of ladies known as 'the amazing ladies club'. A group of friends and people they have introduced who get together monthly to inspire support and encourage each other. Then I will spending time with business leaders and distributors who work for themselves but also within as part of a collective team. I'm part of this business a British Multi Level Marketing Company that has a great mission to not only help people with their health but also build a business that could bring financial freedom. I really do love my job! It's so rewarding! When I did my visualisation today I focused on something I have always wanted to do , a hot air ballon ride ! I have set my team a challenge of mentoring and helping others and in demonstrating that in January hope to reward their work by offering successful induviduals a chance to come along with me . How exciting! I will keep you posted on how we all do! If you want to know more about building a business , intrigued at how this could work for you and be part of my team, just get in touch and I can send or share you more information with you. Today marks the last day of January. I'm up super early (for me) today 5am. I made a commitment at the beginning of the year to achivie some of my Level 10 goals and one target that falls jointly under the heading of Fitness and Giving and Contribution that I have been working on all month is to Walk a 100 miles in the hope to raise £100 for a Dementia. The funds going to a charity here in the U.K , one close to my heart mainly as I have family who suffer with this awful disease. I'd like as much research as possible to be done , offer a contribution to the work and support they give families and as I set myself some fitness goals and thought let's see if I can get sponsorship (encouragement and accountability) and support whilst doing both. So I have been walking and running much more , much more! Tracking it all with my Fitbit (check out my other blog posts to find out more about this tracker) It's been more challenging than I thought and today I have lots of miles to get in but I am determined to complete it. So I am up and ready jumping out of bed with both excitement and apprehension, planning a long run , then the usual walk for school run twice , walking the dog at least once , going flower hunting for possible essence making (that always involves a lot of walking) and then going for a run again - I can do this !! I'm still looking for sponsors but the ones I have so far I will not be letting down. So 5am and I'm off for my first run of the day , earlier than usual mainly so I can rest before having to do the walk to school! Adapting my SAVERS today which I have already planned , today's affirmations and visualisations are going to be thought and chanted in my head as I run (can't say them out loud and breathe correctly, I'm not fit enough yet!) Reading will be actually listening to an audio book and my meditation will be more like a relaxation using the sound track below when I do my cool down when my running has finished. So adapting the SAVERS routine to suit today's schedule. I haven't forgotten scribing or Journalling I intend to do that with this blog post later in the day. Lots of insights and learnings I could share with you today but one I experienced and thought relevant to today. The art of listening. As I still needed sponsors I shared publically on my social groups and spoke to a number of friends today to see if any of them would be on board to being a sponser. Only to find a fair few who I had already had what I considered in depth conversations with at the begging of the month hadn't realised why or who I was raising money for with my fitness commitment. Whilst I pass no judgments in this on them , it did make me think about how many times we engage in conversations and only hear part of it. I did some research on statistics and apparently most of us only remember around 25-50% of most conversations . So I thought hard about how I too probably on occasions fall into this trap, after all a lot of our daily social connections are limited to quick conversations , texts , voicemails , chatting on the go , social media and I'm often multi tasking. Being honest I'm consistently at my best as a listener when I am engaged one on one with someone , or when time is not relevent or I'm working with a client then mindful conversation and listening comes easily . To be a better version of me I need to be able to master the art of real listening.
So I decided to think about how I can listen better to be a better version of me , to set an example and maybe inspire a few others to consider how they listen on occasions too. So here are my thoughts and my own commitments, you may have some other ideas you too could add. These can be practised firstly with ourselves , but then with our family , children, relatives , friends , colleagues , clients and wider communities.
Today is a Sunday and after a busy week I had already scheduled today to be a rest day. In my world that still means sleeping till when I wake (or the kids or dog wake me!) and then leisurely enjoying the day without referring to other commitments such as work or to do lists. Everybody deserves a rest day. If you have a busy life like mine and find they never happen do what I do and schedule them in. That might sound crazy to some and you always should do what works well for you but this works for me. I do listen to my physical and emotional/mental self much more than I used to if I really need it and its not scheduled I still make it happen.
So. Today I naturally work around 7:45 am and got up followed the SAVERS routine, this is about me and really goes inspire me to follow the joy that life brings and so even on a rest day, I follow this routine. When I think about my rest day it usually is one big SAVERS routine. Big smile on my face here as this is why I like them so much!
Today I finished reading my latest choice of book. Keeping up my promise of personal development of reading 52 Books this year. The latest book I have been reading is "Perfectly Yourself' by Matthew Kelly. This is another great book and one certainly making it to the bookshelf.
There are lots of things I have learnt from reading this book and insights that now have a clearer understanding. One of which is to 'do the next right thing'. Whenever things feel unclear or f you feel torn as what to choose to do next listen to your own inner voice. This is the one that has not failed you yet, the one that has never let you down and if listened to will honestly help you chose the next right thing to do for you. Ebrace the moment of now and doing the right thing is described in detail in Mathews book in the second lesson. So do go and read it to understand more.
The reason I mention this book today as it easily falls on the day I finished reading it, and I certainly will choose to read it again and again. But today I listened to my inner voice and decided doing the next right thing was very simply, just taking some time out of being busy and working hard and just resting. Doing what I enjoy like reading and for today allowing myself not to be following a schedule or a plan. Allowing the day to be fluid and relaxed. Giving myself that space to just be. Whilst my mind is yelling at me, that this is not productive or a good use of time. My inner voice is telling me the right thing to do today after such a busy week of work, deadlines and commitments to others is about taking a day off to rest. And so I am doing the next right thing today and tommrrow I will do the next right thing whatever that maybe.... Day 87 - This week has been really enjoyable - back on day 23, I shared my Level 10 Goals for Friends and Family and this week has really been all about that! At the beginning of January I got in touch with lots of friends who I'd not seen for a while . It was important for me to do this. For the most part we had already exchanged the occasional communication saying that we must meet up in person soon but we still hadn't set any dates and I was conscious if I left it to fate or life, we would always be friends but time would past from days to months and we still would not haven spent any good quality time together. So by messaging them allowed opportunity to set some firm dates in our diary's. Even if you can't dedicate days aside try and find hours or other ways to keep in touch. Something certainly to look forward to and a great reason amongst others to get up and get out of bed! So 5:30 am I'm up and ready for my routine. Today I followed a short meditation and chant - shared in the video below. I found this one on YouTube almost my accident , listened read the reviews and felt very relaxed. I would love to understand more about the words so if you can share this with me please do use the contact tab below to share with me your thoughts. This was followed by then Affirmations set originally when starting the Miracle Morning and ongoing visualisation that I have been doing for things on my level 10 life list.
Then I exercised inside using my exercise bike and read for about 20mins before using my journal to record my adventures and catch ups with friends so far this week. What we had been doing , where we visited , how it felt to catch up and what lessons we learnt from each other. So far its evidenced to me that making this time happen with friends has many benefits .
Today I am out with friends again, just for the morning before spending the rest of the day immersed in work. We will be going for a walk with children (the ones not st school) and our dogs at the local National Trust Park. I'm very much looking forward to catching up and sharing time with them. Take a step back in the blog to day 23 to find out more on why I choose to make this happen. Remember to create memories, enjoy company and live life. I'd love to hear your experiences and thoughts so keep in touch. Day 81 - I woke a little late than expected today at 5:45am today. I think the house was so warm and cosy. My husband had started work earlier and noticed it was freezing outside and so had turned on the heaters. I had to find the motivation to move as quickly as I found myself physically feel like I could easily go back into sleep or I could fall into the snooze trap. The snooze trap affects the rest of your day, I reminded myself. It in effect tells you that your not ready or willing to start the day and such changes your vibration of mindet to that. I am ready I told myself today is a new day. To wake myself up I had a glass of cold water, walked around the house quietly just shaking my arms and legs (getting the blood pumping) before braving the winter layers of clothes just on top of gym gear, before stepping out to the garden to do my Sit Spot and Meditation. Only staying outside to do this for around 15 mins I came back inside feeling refreshed. I pulled out my list of affirmations for the day and read them aloud. I looked over my vision board and smiled at all the progress been made in recent weeks and days to manifesting these visions into reality. I'll share more on that in a post soon. Then on to exercise and off with the winter layers! Exercising inside at home today as kids are still asleep. Yoga is the choice of today. I spend 20 mins doing this following This video I found on you tube is today's choice as found it quite simple to follow not being an experienced yoga student! I then read for about 15 mins into my latest book 'perfectly yourself, 9 lessons for enduring happiness by Matthew Kelly and then journaled, just writing a few memories and insights from my Sit Spot and Meditation. What I had learnt from the yoga video and then checked over the plans for my day. After all this was done I went back upstairs to shower get dressed for my day ahead and get the children up and ready for school. Every day still brings surprise and enjoyment that I have this time to myself and for my own personal development regardless of what else the day may bring (expected or unexpected) or who I come into contact with and it is in this moment I remind myself again and again that I am truly grateful for having found the Miracle Morning routine and that I choose to get up and make it so. I am ALWAYS happy I did. ,When listening to the radio today , reading through social media posts and even whilst out an about in the community there seems to be a real buzz of hope. Whilst the world is changing at a fast pace and challenges becoming ever more apparent, my experiences today have been of one of people are pulling together with a firm foundation of hope. Hope is the opposite feeling to fear and so in having hope allows you you to remain on the positive side of well being. I am blessed to have many positive influences in my life that will encourage hope rather than fear and I wish that for you all . My thoughts on Hope. Hope can be described as the desire for something to happen and the belief and unwaivering faith that even though the path there cannot be seen it will be obtained. Hope is however is in my opinion different to just being optimistic. For hope to be a real and separate experience. I do however acknowledge there does need to be a certain level of optimism involved. For if there is a conscious connection or thought that for that something to happen alone without hope or optimism it is really just an wish or a single lonely thought and if thought is known to happen for almost certainity it is instead really an expectation and no optimism or hope would be needed. So I take hope as something different and possibly consider it can be both conscious and/or unconscious, something within us that allows us to feel and believe that with or without rationale and planning it can be obtained. This is what I am feeling from my community today. If you think about its opposite feeling of fear , if you were to choose this mindset you could find an optimistic person to be fearful as easily as a hopeful person being pessimistic. I think fear and hopelessness can entwine together if allowed for I do believe that there are no hopeless situations only times we feel hopeless or fearful. This is where I find flower essences can help, a healthy routine like the Miracle Morning and a supportive Community . Every day is a new day of hope with an opportunity to share this yourself and all around you. Embrace today and shine your hope! With a big sprinkle of optimism. Day 66 - Todays Miracle Morning nearly didn't happen ! Shock ! After an amazing night sleep but late going to bed, my alarm went off and I snoozed it! Oops ! Is that because subcionciously and consciously I was replaying the words and pattern of ''oh no you went to bed late, that means your going to get up late, it's the kids first day back at school , they won't want to get up either etc etc ....'' Well in answer to my own question certainly yes and just as I shared the other day I need to be mindful of my words all the time but especially before sleep! Now at this point I'm being a little bit harsh on myself as actually did get up and get going all be it with a struggle, but I still did, and I still did start my miracle morning and yes I did have to act like a slightly crazy mummy to get the kids up in time and moving but they did and all was fine in the end. The important thing was I started , I didn't give up! Once the kids kids were at school I managed to have a moment to reflect and write this blog entry. Often especially this time of year we make resolutions and plans and a few days in things haven't quite all happened for us as we expected, or it feels a bit uncomfortable. For example after a fun time during the recently holidays putting our mind and body back to a school routine and timescales can feel challenging. Just turning on my social network feeds this morning gave me confirmation I was not alone in this. But the kids did need to go to school, I sat thinking about what is my message , what if any were my learnings or insights given to me today. To start with the obvious not have those negative thoughts ( I knew this of course!) and then in all the doom and gloom available on social media this morning I was reminded of the quote above and there was my message. It doesn't matter how many times we start and then possibly fail or feel we have. The important thing is to start. For if we dont start either again or even at all , if we believe we can't, we shouldn't , we don't deserve it, we won't be able to maintain it, it's not perfect, we're not ready , I don't have time .....(you guys can fill in the blank maybe not today but if this comes up later for you). If you will allow your greatness to not shine out into the world. So so no matter the challenge how big or small , make a start! Todays Affirmation please SHOUT IT LOUD with me ''I am starting .......today, I have succeed at .......and I am great at doing it!'' Fill in your own blank for the day. I found a YouTube video you might like to watch click link below. Up on schedule as planned today at 6am. One hour of SAVERS routine. Then I wanted some time to plan and organise the final arrangements for travelling from the southwest to London to an event myself and a colleague are attending at the weekend. Vegan life Live. Running our own business and supporting a team of distributors can really take you out of your comfort zone sometimes. But if we didn't we would get stuck in the mundane and not find opportunities to grow both personaly and professionaly. I am very much looking forward to attending this at the weekend not only to work but to meet new people, share the amazing health benefits with those in need, offer team support and business opportunities and get some inspirational hints and tips for health and well being. I will blog about it I'm sure ! If you would like to know more know or in the future about the business I'm involved with and how you can be part of the team do get in touch using the contact tab below. As I'm writing a post today I thought why not include a list of reasons why working solo but also as team is so beneficial and this way you can see why I enjoy it and why you might want to consider it too.
Day 64 - Today was all planned in advance something that over the festive period I hadn't done as well as I usually would have. The Miracle Mornings are going really well but after such a busy few days and nights I allowed myself to sleep in till 8am. Me and the children got up together and so I decided to include them in my routine. First we sat together and did a short meditation (less than 5 mins) my youngest is only 5 years old and meditation and sound therapy is something both but my youngest all her life have always had experience of. But hey if you only 5 you have things to do and 3 -4 mins of your relatively short life is a long time to sit quiet and still! So then we did some affirmations, I help the kids come up with there's and then we have fun saying them quiet as a mouse and get louder and louder until we are shouting them 10 diffeeemt times. Visualisation we sat down and talked about our dreams and wishes, what they look like , what they feel like. Then we read some of our own books whilst having hot drinks and toast. Then we did some yoga always funny , looked more like a family game if twister ! one time I will get my husband to get the camera out and you will see what I mean, Then I settled down to do some journalling and they did some drawing and colouring. All good fun. Today we decided is officially our our New Year's Day, although it's the 2nd of January it's a bank holiday and we still not back to the routine of school and work. We took down the Christmas decorations and my husband went into the attic to put them away. You may remember one of my environmental goals for 2017 is to sort and clear this Aladdin's cave of stuff! So we labelled and packaged away just what we needed and he brought down a few boxes for me to sort over this week. Not opened them yet so that will be fun later to do. The rest we are rehoming through sale or charity to try and reduce our footprint on the house and help others. Later in the day we had planned to meet another level 10 life goal in fun and fitness and go off for a walk togaether which we did along a trail known as Billy Puff route at Weston Beacon Ivybridge ( for those following my journal posts you will know this is my title page picture from a few years ago) I found a great website to find out more if you are in the area it was a lovely walk. http://www.bbc.co.uk/devon/outdoors/walks/puffingbilly.shtml It was good to get out in nature , blow the imaginary and possibly real (after being in attic) cobwebs away, achivie our exercise goals and have lots of fun.
I was surpised when I reflected later what a huge amount we had achieved today and how good it all felt. And that was after getting up at 8am. Todays important message is to get up and live your dream, make each day count for what matters to you. Day 61 - A bit later up today for no other reason than forgetting to set my alarm. Waking up naturally happens a lot now around this time as habits have formed but I still set an alarm usuall, not allowing bad planning to ruin my new habits now! But still I forgot but naturally I woke at 6am and in no rush or criticism to myself , I just acknowledged the situation and got on with my SAVERS routine. Exercise today I decided to go for a run , whilst running I was listening to a playlist of affirmations I had made and one really kept standing out to me. ''I visualize the achievement of my goals daily'' I do this I thought proud of myself for how far I have come, I have my list of goals, I have a plan written down for most and I am actively working on making them happen, I feel they have, I see they have, they have! Getting fitter has been a goal of mine for a long time , the Miracle Morning routine was leveraging this daily. As I listened to my affirmations as I ran through the streets was a real life example of this! It's just after 6am and I'm running! I thought I wish I had kept a better track if my successes on exercise so I could congratulate myself. ( interesting to acknowledge I wanted this?) I Know what I have done and feel amazing for it, I also give thanks and acknowledge those who have offered support in getting me this far! It's nearly the end of the year but not the end of my goal setting. I don't really go in for New Years resolutions , I'm tell you about that tomorrow. As I ran I thought about how I could encorporte some of my goals together to make them more powerful and amazing. More manageable but no less stretching. Giving and Contribution being accountable ,and making a difference. I had recently was challenged from my Fitbit group friends on how many miles I was going to walk in January and I had confidently pledged a 100 without really considering how I was going to do it or if I thought I could. I considered it a nice round number, breaking it down after I realised I needed to be commited, consistent and challenging to my current level of walking and steps. So in a way to be accountable I thought not only would I share this here with you all here today but I would increase the stakes and start a fund raiser in line with my level 10 plan of giving and contributing more in 2017. Could I walk 100 miles in January ? Could I raise £100 for chairty in January could I get 100 people on board or involved through sponsorship or joining me ? I feel confident I can! The affirmation came again as I ran a few more steps l. ''I visualize the achievement of my goals daily.'' So I set up an official just giving page to take sponsorship , I shared the above post and reasons on my Social Media, through text and email to my friends, family and followers and now I am here '' I visualize the achievement of my goals daily'' I can do this , visualisation as part of my miracle morning , feeling, seeing believing I have done this will help, the affirmations I do will help, the support from positive like minded friends will help, commitment to change and consistancy to inspire and make it happen. My message today is no matter what your goals are, they are yours to manifest, be it big or small goals, news years resolutions , ideas, plans, perfect or spur of the moment ideas just focus on what you want and ''visualize the achievement of you goals daily'' Then take Action and Make them happen. Set, Persue , Achieve your Goals and NEVER EVER Give up! I will keep you posted , here is a video filled with inspiring quotes to help you.
Day 60 - Another milestone date - up at 5:30 am did my SAVERS routine . -1'c outside today but beautiful sunrise and gorgeous fresh air to fill my lungs , wrapped up warm I stayed outside for Sit Spot , Meditation , visualisation , affirmations and reading before coming into do some yoga and journal. All completed by 6:30. Perfect start to the day.
Today I finished reading the latest book - You are a Badass by Jen Sincero (which might I add also marked off a challenge I had set myself back in August to read 20 books by the end of the year! Yep you guessed it this was number 20) This book is brilliant , I have the hard copy and audio book read by the author ( which has many laugh out loud moments and you feel like you get to know her so recommend both to your collection) This book is another high ranking on the life changing list and will certainly make it to the bookshelf
Written in a way that is not standard. When I say that I mean you get some great advice with the odd 'naughty' word , full of energy spilling life affirming new age thoughts and practices, real life experiences and exciting ideas and lists with practice kick ass go do it dialogue , which of course is right up my street and hopefully if your reading my blog will be your too!
There is is no way you can read or listen to this book and not build a virtuial relationship with the author , even though you haven't met her in person. I came away from reading this thinking yes! I am a badass and what a positive affirmation this is - read her book and you won't regret it! I'm all out ready to live my awesome life are you? Today started at 5:30am - nearly 2 months into doing the Miracle Morning routine everything is going strong and well. I feel energised , confident and capable even as I sit here so early in the day (before the day has even started for most people) I would not have said that this early in the day 59 days ago! The Savers routine being done today started with exercise and as I now reflect on how I am feeling about the day ahead and my journey so far. I am reminded of the importance of words both out spoken to others and internally to myself. I was also strongly reminded myself of this today in my miracle morning. As before I commenced any meditation or journaling, I had busily got on with my exercise routine. But my brain was off doing its own work out away from my body with an inner dialogue of its own running down lists, thinking of things to do, replaying conversations, finding random memories and mixing them up in one giant pot aka my head. When I suddenly became starkly aware of a few words that brought forth an emotion that didn't stop this mixture of word workout in its tracks but rather added fuel to the inner dialogue of crazy that was happening inside all as I cycled fiercely on my exercise bike trying to beat yesterday's time and distance. I took a moment (not to long) to shake my head and just say 'stop!' To my thoughts , slow down, be mindful! What we think , say and write has a real impact on how our lives manifest. So it's important to be mindful of them. Take time to listen to how and what you are saying to yourself and to others. So this morning I was reminded of this advice myself and then in this blog post it felt relevant to share this experience with you all today. Being mindful of words means to have a deliberate and conciocius involvement in understanding the words being used and directing our attention to make these thoughts and words matter in a positive way. To make sure we are not falling into the negativity of replaying past events, habits or judgements, increasing anxiety or fear of things that have not even happened and of what the future may or may not bring. Mindfulness is about being in the moment. For me when I realised this was happening and became mindful of what and why I was thinking and of all these words and thoughts I was using , my mind calmed , my work out became easier , my breathing more focused and the results improved. So what did I learn ? Actively try to think of positive ways to say or think what is needed and shut down or dismiss the rest to just be in the moment. So for example 'today I must do .......' exchange those words for 'Today I will enjoy doing .....' or 'today I have so much to complete' change it to ' today I will complete all I need to do' . Consider using power words or phrases such as ' I accept any challenge that comes today as I know I have the ability and knowledge to overcome them' ' I am really looking forward to today, it's going to be a great day! I was reminded of a video I once watched on social media whilst writing this message, so I trawled around on Facebook and found it soni may too share with you all. Have a a great day everyone! Up early with the family after a day of seasonal celebration yesterday. Here in the UK today we are celebrating time with family again. I have taken no time today to do any Miracle Morning routine other than just under 10 minutes to watch this video sent through the airwaves by a friend who said I would enjoy it and the message. So sharing with you all. Enjoy your day.
Day 56 - No time today for my miracle morning routine , I'm a busy mum of 2 children as some of you will know add into the mix today is Christmas Day , everyone is up early!
So todays post just lets you know - it's ok to have a day off! Oh and look what Santa bought me (also known as Amazon bookstore) Will let you know how that goes in a future post , if you want a copy you can click picture below) Happy Holidays to you all! Day 50 - It's hard to belivie I have made it to 50 days of following Miracle Morning Process. It's hard to put into words how much this process has given my life. So for the analytical number cruncher in me and maybe you. Let me share the minimum difference it has made in minutes I have given myself 50 extra hours of personal development so far broken down into : 500 extra Meditation Minutes 250 minutes dedicated to Positive Affirmations 250 minutes dedicated to Visualisation 1000 minutes dedicated to exercise routine 500 minutes dedicated to reading 500 minutes dedicated to journalling These are just minimums some are actually much more and this only covers the extra hour in the morning. By following this process dreams are becoming reality, action is easier to take, I'm creating good and better habits across my life - check out the level 10 life posts. All in a relatively short amount of time. So had you asked me to make this happen before starting the Miracle Morning routine, I would have told you it was impossible in just 50 days. That I don't have time , that I'm not sure it will make a difference ... the list that makes it unachievable.... The reason to share this blog post today isn't to brag about how well I'm doing , but to inspire you to find a way that's right for you. I like the quote above as it is a reminder that sometimes the fear and difficulties we consider to be truth can stop us from taking the steps of enhancement we need to succeed. There's always a way , the Miracle Morning is one way in which I have experienced how focusing on the real difficulties and taking action can you overcome anything your mind has created and actually nothing is impossible! I always want to say I got up early today when I start these blog post and quite possibly many I have! but at nearly 50 days in it's not really any different now to any other day. Still it is earlier than I was and I am still blogging about my Miracle Mornings and the impact it is having in my life in the vision and intention to inspire others whilst motivating myself and living a level 10 fulfilled life. So today I got up early (feels good to say it!) 5:30 am and I did my SAVERS routine , Sit Spot meditation outside in the garden, followed by affirmations , visualisation , exercise, reading and scribing/journalling. Today is going to be a fun day, I am off to see a friend in a rural market town called Tavistock in West Devon here in the UK. Only about 15 miles from where I live. We are going to go exploring the town, do some shopping and have a friendly catch up. Something I promised myself to do more of under friends family and fun for my Level 10 life planning. When you have fun plans for the day it really does help the getting up part. So note to self fun things everyday to be scheduled in! The feeling today brings reminds me that life is for living and so it's time to say yes to more adventures. I will try and share some of the places I visit and some information through the year through my blog posts so that they may inspire you to do the same or similar or even just give you an idea or inspiration of somewhere you may want to add to your travel and adventure list. Information on Tavistock
A really vibrant and interesting town, I found out it is the birthplace of Sir Francis Drake, vice admiral (c. 1540 – 27 January 1596) was an English sea captain, privateer, navigator, slaver, and politician of the Elizabethan era. Tavistock lies on the edge of Dartmoor, around 24 kilometers (14.9 mi) north of Plymouth on the A386, with a population of 11,018, circa 2005. The town is centered on the paved amenity of Bedford Square, around which are found St. Eustachius Church and the Abbey ruins, to the west, the Grade 2-listed Town Hall, the disused former Guildhall/magistrates’ court buildings, and Pannier Market buildings behind the Town Hall. The pannier market and town hall has a host of events and facilities available and is a real treat to visit. For more information on visiting Tavistock I found this website useful : http://www.visit-tavistock.co.uk/ Its the weekend ! I have been looking forward to my exercise session this morning as I have found a friend who is not only willing to come cycling with me but also during my Miracle Morning hour! So today we took our bikes into the city. We decided to do a route we just made up /pre planned ( not all cycle lanes but very little road needed to be used) along the historic water front of the city I live in. The area I actually live is actually on the outskirts and as the weather has not been good and it's dark we didn't like the idea of riding around here this time of the morning. So we drove to our arranged location (not fit enough yet to do the whole way from home to city) and rode through the city streets in a big 4 mile lap. It was fun , so quiet! For the city I was shocked , we only seen a little traffic, it seems like even the city is asleep when we are up! I did do the other SAVERS but in a different order and in a bit of a rush this morning. As family and work commitments were calling when we got back. So later in the day caught up on some journal and meditation time. It was fun to break the routine but still accomplish everything. So I thought I would use this post to say that. Create a plan that works for you , develop yourself but don't get bored doing it! Hope you have a great day ! I was up at 5:30 am again today , this is still one of my favourite times of the day to get some good personal development time, Today was very wet, cold and extreamlly dark outside so I decided to do a meditation that a friend had emailed me. She had said " I've been reading your blog is this the sort of thing you are talking about?......" I was intrigued so thought I would give it a go, and it was lovely, so Here I am sharing it with you all. It's 15 minutes long so allow yourself enough time to do it . I journaled straight after so my savers were in a mixed order but that worked for me today and why not? The meditation got got me thinking about peoples relationships with money. There is often two schools of ideas money is either good or bad. But I have another idea to share here today. It isn't the want, need or actual physical money that is good or bad in fact I think as a substance it's rather neither, it's the emotion, the energy , the action we put around it, that determines its users intentions to how it really is. So for example earning money from someone's misfortune or ill treatment , doing a job you can't stand or is boring will bring a very different vibration to money earnt in a job that you love, uses your creativity or knowledge or that inspires or helps others. Don't be afraid to acknowledge the need or want for financial abundance, don't add any negative emotion to it such as guilt, fear, denial or dismiss the real need for it. After all it's what is needed to provide the basics of life good, shelter etc unless you live out with the everyday community.
Forget past habits, stories and replays you have been told. Know what abundance looks like for you and don't judge that or compare to others, as we will all be very different - take time to clearly define what you want and need to be able to flourish. Take action in a way that feels right for you and your circumstances (big or small steps). It might be personal development, mindset work, learning new skills , getting support, asking for help , making changes ... Really accept and know you have the ability to bring your thoughts of abundance into reality. All of this will start to develop and change your relationship with abundance. Changing your vibration and as such outcome. And lastly but no means least as each step manifests remember to have gratitude for all you have now. Being financially abundant has been an interesting experience to feel into today. I would love to hear your thoughts so please do share your own insights and wisdom. Day 43 - Another 5:30 am start up to do the SAVERS routine. Silent meditation 10 minutes Affirmations 5 minutes Visualisation 10 minutes Exercise 20 minutes Reading 10 minutes Scribing/journalling 5 mins Doing this routine is clearly adding to my daily practise of increasing my vibration and energy. I had a few questions over one of my blog posts last week asking why I thought things were just happening for me because of the Miracle Morning . My answer to start with was of course because of the actions I take after setting my day up by doing the Miracle Morning. By doing the routine consistently I wam raising my energy to then take good motivational action during the day and as such things are happing at a fun and faster rate than before. In order to understand this I guess I needed to explain a little further on my thoughts about ENERGY. To me everything has its own energy ‘a life force’. Lots of people of the past and present of different civilizations and cultures have used this life force in various ways, some of you may have heard of the Yogis of India use ‘PRANA’, the Hawaiians ‘MANA’ and the Chinese ‘QI’ . So many different names with the same or similar meaning, too many to mention here in one blog post! I tend to refer to it as life force, energy, vibration , or universal connection. Fairly interchangeably so do stick with me! All life is made up of energy, constantly, mixing, merging, exchanging with each other. People like Newton and Einstein spent years exploring it through physics. E=MC2, Atoms, Newtons Law assuming you have heard of these right? More recently you will hear people discussing the law of attraction, how your frequency matches your thoughts and how coincidences are natures way of responding to our vibrations. Now I don’t claim to be an expert on any of the fore mentioned, but I have found this to be very true through my own expetiences . You see keeping our frequency at a level we need it to be allows us the opportunity to experience life in a different way. The Miracle Morning routine of SAVERS will raise your vibration and if you need further support you can look for other tools ot support and help. I am lucky I have a strong connection with nature and in particular plants, flowers, trees and crystals which too have their own vibration and I understand how tha energy of these can be brought into our lives and that of others to help maintain a healthy holistic relationship between our minds, body and souls. This is me engaging with energy to not only help myself but others through the work I do daily with flower essences and clients. To understand how this may work you need to recognise that the human being is more than just a physical body but also has its own external and internal energy and vibrations. You may have heard of Aura/Chakras/Subtle bodies/Meridians? I will be blogging about these separately but for now if you’re not sure what they are, you can visualise them as mists around and through you, different colours, frequencies, sounds, speeds not visible to human eye but there. Interchanging, mixing, merging with each other and the world and the things around it. Everything has it’s own life force, energy or vibration , I tend to use the same words when describing. I suppose you could say our own life force is potentially at its strongest when we are born. The lives that we all lead nowadays have led us to be fast paced and sometimes forgetful to how we can maintain a strong ‘life force’ thus keeping the body in balance as a whole; that along with all the things life throws at us and the emotions we feel from them, can mean sometimes our own life force does not feel in balance.
Having an awareness of this and thinking of the body in this way maybe gives you a new or enhanced prospective of health and wellbeing and how being aware of our energy we can then chance our lives to be in line with our dreams by opening up new opportunities and experiences. This is something I have used for many years now , the Miracle Morning however has encouraged me to develop this into actions and consistency and well as enhancing the experience. What are your thoughts? Day 42 - Today is Sunday and we have no decimate plans as a household that require us to actually leave our space. We are a family that enjoys sleep so I have no early risers interrupting my Miracle Morning routine generally . I planned today to get up a little later 7:30 am and when I did it was still only me up. if any of you are parents I just want to share now I know this is a luxury most do not have consistently, so I say just do what works for you and your family and what comes will always be right because you know them and your routines and plans the best. I'm sharing my experiences. Today I did my SAVERS routine starting with my Sit Spot silent meditation out in the garden, whilst just looking around I spotted two trees that I planted four years ago and took a moment to appreciate how big they had got! It made me smile because after my daughter was born I had decided (being a gardner and nature/tree enthusiast ) that when it came to this time of year we would buy a Christmas tree that had roots (create a lasting tradition) from our local nursery , look after and decorate it got the festive season and then plant it in the garden. To which we did for two years . Here I was today looking at these amazing trees on my garden. What I hadn't considered at all was that this tradition was going to mean I had a small forest appearing very quickly, certainly established and huge by the time the children left home and without the land available I would clearly run out of space very quickly! So we stopped , there was a third year and a Christmas tree that was planted in a half barrel with the intention to bring in year after year , again without my prior thought for its size . This one lasted 6 months before the summer hit and the sun came and I couldn't keep up with the water needs. Todays Sit Spot got me thinking about traditions and why we start them , continue them and what this may mean to us. Tradition is explained in the English dictionary as 'a belief or behavior passed down within a group or society with symbolic meaning or special significance with origins in the past' By following or creating a tradition you are allowing yourself to cherish the feelings associated to that moment memorising it in a time capsule for years to come. It gives a chance to live in the moment , spend time with family or friends and enjoy something that is meaningful to you all. There is no rule book I guess the most challenging part is to address the time as we live in the fast paced and technologically driven world we occupy today. Following tradition offers an excellent context for meaningful pause and reflection, comfort , connection and gratitude. But I also realised in this time and wanted to share with you all that tradition can be enjoyed in many ways and all throught the year. Many special occasions have tradition , birthday cake , different wedding rituals. You can have special family time as traditions, movie nights, breakfasts together, walks in the woods , breakfast on the beach - the possibilities are endless. This is a great area to work on your friends and family level 10 life. As today is Sunday and we are free from scheduled plans I have decided to partake in some of our festive family traditions . So today's plan is to put up our decorations , sing Christmas songs , make some mulled wine, and start making wrapping paper for present wrapping. Enjoy your day and go share your traditions too! I was asked for the recipie I use - source www.bbc.co.uk/food
Ingredients 1 bottle red wine 60g/2oz demerara sugar 1 cinnamon stick grated nutmeg 1 orange, halved 1 dried bay leaf 60ml/2fl oz sloe or damson gin (optional) Star Anise (optional) Method Put the wine in a saucepan with the orange, sugar, bayleaf and the spices. Heat gently until the sugar has dissolved. Taste to see if you want the wine sweeter, and add more sugar to taste. Off the heat, stir in the sloe or damson gin if you are using it. Strain into heatproof glasses and serve. Day 41 - My day today starts at 5:30 am , doing the Miracle Morning for well over a month now has really impacted my life. For something that sounds so simple and yet in the beginning days is so hard. It's difficult to really explain into words how profound an experience it can be. So my advice to you if you have just found this post or even this blog is to search for The a Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod there are books, audios, podcasts and so much more . But he's the expert and founder of this path and process. I am sharing my journey and learnings along the way but hear it from the man himself! I promise you won't be disappointed. So today's routine for me was to get up and meditate for about 15 mins (it felt longer) then repeat my Affirmations I have written and some that Hal kindly shared with his community members. Then I spent a little time looking at my vision board and goals, picturing them , living them, feeing them. I see this part of the day as an tuning into opportunity and what goodness the day and days ahead have to bring. It's a very positive and inspiring way to start your day. Then exercise, today I went for a run took me about 20 mins to do a route I had planned but no stats to share as I forgot to wear my Fitbit. Felt disappointment for a moment and then remembered this is not what the exercise is about. It's about giving the body movement and waking myself up, becoming fitter and healthier. So still pleased with myself and no longer disappointed. After all I ran for 20 minutes for someone who would still describe themselves as someone who is not a runner! Did about 10 minutes reading and 10 mins journalling some notes (see below) and looked at my journal to check in at what my day had ahead before hitting the shower ready to wake the rest of the family up for the start of their day. Kindness is the topic I journalled about today as it has come to mind yesterday when I was trying to explain to my daughter and son why it was important to be kind. So I decided to share my personal thoughts on today's blog post. Do let me know what you think as well. So my thoughts on what kindness is? Generally a behaviour or spontaneous gesture of goodwill towards a person or an animal or nature. Kindness it is a message from one heart to another, an act of love, that shows something you care. My journal notes came up with a list of how we as a family can do this and what it might look like in practise. Please share any other ideas you have.
These are just a few ideas that we as a family will be using.
Not just for one day but every day we can, always. Day 40 - up today at 5:30 am again. Nearly every day it gets easier and more fun to get on with my SAVERS, as long as I have prepared what I am doing. The preparation brings the excitement of the next chapters in my reading book, the challenge of beating my workout score , the beauty of what my Sit Spot will hold, the crazy wisdom and insights that flow down onto paper , the connection with the life I'm creating in my affirmations and visualisation. Doing the SAVERS is a routine, it's becoming a habit , what I need to do is make sure it stays fresh so that I continue to want to bounce out of bed and do them. At the moment certainly I cannot even think I wouldn't want to! Imagine me saying that 40 days ago? (Nervous laugh thinking of past self) This idea did get me thinking about comfort zones and what they are and why they happen or exist and why they are maybe good or bad. A comfort zone - hummmm..... sounds nice! Of course it is! It's a place in life we feel relaxed, happy, content where we have no fear of risk or failure. No stress or anxiety, just a mentaly safe security blanket. So why then would we want to mess with this? Well if we stay in our confort zones without considering just stepping out even a bit , we are in effect reducing our chance of development. For something that brings a bit of anxiety due to it being unknown or new could actually allow us to experience or learn something new, and in moderation is not a bad thing. For me this is happening at a fast pace since starting the Miracle Morning , things are seeming to just happen! Of course things don't just happen I know that. But opportinitys are coming up for me to learn something , meet people , times to push my levels of experience to new heights. I know however that the Miracle Morning is supporting my attitude to these opportunities and my willingness to step out of my existing confort zone, that I personally belivie then brings the next opportunity and so on . The biggest one to date , starting, committing and continuing the Miracle Morning itself and sharing it via this blog! Today brings another, I had a meeting with my upline and friend who introduced me to one aspect of the business I run. Her idea, was to discuss one way she has thought of that we can help inspire and motivate our teams and help them boost their own businesses. Share more of us ! Via video trainings and face to face video logs. Not just a video but LIVE Facebook videos!!! This is a new area for me. For example I technically don't know at the moment know how to do it, the nerves are setting in to what to do when actually live on it and the anxiety appearing for why and what this possibly means going forward! But all things considered technically we can learn how to and as for the nerves and anxiety well they can be good right? We have learnt that already. Enough to be challenged with a little stress giving room for personal development but not to much that overwhelm comes in and of course I have my nature friends also known as flower essences that an support those emotions. So 4 hours after my miracle morning routine we met for coffee at one of our favourite meet up locations. We brainstormed , joked , practically learnt how through online research to do the technical aspects and worked diligently to put everything in place, we sent some invites out to our teams (no use hiding away at this stage, right) and we are ready! Determined and focused to help our teams do the same. To grow through stepping out, to support each other, to inspire, to be our authentic selves by dipping the toes outside of the comfort zone so we can expand and make changes to be a better version of our past selves for our today and future selves. After I took a walk in the woods along the river before doing any more work. Thinking about what we had experienced so far and how this new learning and future experiences may also aid in other areas of life.
Being out in nature is very grounding and it was fun to experience taking a slightly different route , seeing new trees and plants and the beauty of the stream. So no matter how big or small the idea, challenge yourself to occasionally step out of your comfort zone. You may have an idea straight away if not maybe some of these could help.
What could you do differently? Please do share your ideas ! Day 39 - Jumping out of bed today I know I need to find courage within me today! Starting with the Miracle Morning Routine has made it easier for me personally. I belivie it could for many of you too, so my routine this morning includes things to support my day ahead. SitSpot in the garden, ten minutes of silence clearing my mind of any distraction and just being here in nature. Then my sound therapy practise, for those who have heard me discuss this before I use tuning forks to bring a clear and cleansing balance to my day. I use a OM fork and 528hz which you can find out more about over at http://www.suarasoundhealing.com This is followed by Affirmations for Courage: I am daring enough to face any challenge. I have the courage to make positive changes in my life. I have the courage to move forward toward my dreams. I allow the courage of my heart to dissolve any fears I experience. Today I bless my being with limitless courage. Visulisation - spending time seeing myself succeeding in the tasks my day has ahead, with grace, courage and ease. Exercise - turning out to be one of my favourite parts of my Miracle Morning 20 mins on my exercise bike (following the video below) Then a little rest with a big glass of water (and then my Plant Derived Minerals) whilst I read some of my current book. Followed by time to Journal. So today I said I needed Courage and so this blog post came about. This is because I have made some changes to my work and habits recently and as a result of that I have realised I need to stop doing certain tasks and release some reposnsibilitys that I have worked very hard on and that others have become reliant on me for. I've thought about them and made a decision to make communication with those that I need to today to inform them of my decisions. Why courage ? Well when you look up the definition of courage you will see it states: ''the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery. ... have the courage of one's convictions, to act in accordance with one's beliefs, especially in spite of criticism'' And there it is the reason I need to instill courage today is to overcome the fear and stand by the decisions I have made for myself - we all get moments like this big and small. If you can come from your heart as well as your head when making decisions and find courage, you too can jump out of bed knowing the outcome will be best for you. |
